    Inpatient Clinical Pharmacist – Registry Rotating Shift


    Join the hospital trusted by Chicago’s Southland, Ingalls Memorial Hospital, in this role as an Inpatient Clinical Pharmacist.

    The Inpatient Clinical Pharmacist provides a quality level of comprehensive pharmaceutical services demonstrating sound judgment based upon knowledge and application of professional, departmental and organizational principles and standards. Demonstrates the necessary skills and knowledge to provide care to the patient population served by the organization which includes neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors. The Clinical Staff Pharmacist is responsible for providing pharmaceutical care consistent with departmental/hospital philosophy, mission statement, professional standards, and policies and procedures. Observes and adheres to all corporate compliance requirements and communicates issues as they arise to the appropriate parties as identified in the Corporate Compliance Plan. 


    Required Qualifications

    • Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a minimum of a Doctor of Pharmacy degree or a B.S. Pharmacy degree with comparable clinical experience
    • Currently licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of Illinois
    • Active Illinois pharmacist license in good standing
    • 2 to 3 years of experience as an inpatient clinical pharmacist
    • Active BLS from the American Heart Association
    • Active ACLS
    • Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
    • Ability to work cooperatively with health-system and pharmacy staff
    • Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule
    • Ability to set priorities, make critical decisions and respond quickly to emergency requests
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing providing excellent customer service
    • Ability to exercise sound professional judgment
    • Ability to perform work accurately within specified times
    • Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Windows


    Preferred Qualifications

    • PGY1 hospital residency training or equivalent experience
