Join the hospital trusted by Chicago’s Southland, Ingalls Memorial Hospital, in this role as an Exercise Physiologist.
Under the general direction and supervision of the center director, and in collaboration with program medical director and other team members: provides care to Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation clients and Adult Fitness clientele, including assessment, plans of care, education, evaluation, etc. Contributes to an environment which enables Ingalls to fulfill its mission and meet or exceed its goals. Functions as a cooperative and active member of the health care team.
Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology or equivalent.
Masters degree in Exercise Physiology is preferred.
ACSM certification preferred.
ACLS is required
Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years full time experience in the exercise physiology role. Must possess excellent organization and communication skills. Must be flexible.
The physical demand is moderate in nature with a degree of walking, standing, moving, and lifting up to 20 pounds. A high degree of hearing accuracy required to distinguish difference in lung sounds, high degree of visual acuity, accurate color vision to perceive changes in patient’s skin color. Must be able to life up to and in excess of 20 pounds. Moderate amount of office work for documentation and computer data entry.
